About Muktify
Last updated: 31 August 2026
An educational calculator, not an adviser.
Muktify does the maths on the numbers you enter. It is not registered with SEBI, it holds no view on what you should do with your money, and it is not connected to any bank.
What Muktify is
Muktify is a set of everyday money tools for a salaried professional in India — the arithmetic behind the questions that come up between one payslip and the next. What an EMI actually costs over its life. Which tax regime works out lower on your own salary structure. How much of your rent the HRA rules will actually exempt. When your loans clear if you keep paying what you are paying. How long the money you have already saved would keep you going if the income stopped.
It is built for one country and one situation: Indian tax rules, Indian salary structures, and one person's own finances rather than a household's. Everything is calculated from figures you enter yourself, on the screen you entered them on.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on this site is arithmetic on numbers you supplied. Nothing is fetched from an account, estimated from a profile, or inferred from what other people have entered.
Anything that looks forward — a retirement projection, a goal date, what a purchase costs you in time — rests on assumptions about the future, and those assumptions are yours. Muktify never supplies, suggests or implies a rate of growth for your savings: the box is blank, it carries no example figure, and the projection simply does not run until you have answered it. That is deliberate and it is not a gap to fill. A number the app put in that box would quietly become the answer, and it is the one input every projection in the product is built on.
The rules that are not yours to choose — tax slabs, statutory caps, exemption limits — are the current published ones for the financial year, applied as written. Where a relief exists that the app cannot compute from what it holds, it says so on screen rather than leaving the comparison to look complete.
Every projection is an estimate. Real life will differ from it, and the app says so beside the figures rather than only in a footer.
What Muktify is not
This is an educational calculator. It is not a financial adviser, and the distinction is a legal one rather than a modest way of putting it:
- Muktify is NOT registered with SEBI, under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 or otherwise. Nothing here is investment advice.
- It never names, ranks or recommends a stock, mutual fund, scheme or policy, and it never suggests how to divide your money between them.
- It has no connection to any bank, broker or account aggregator. It cannot see your accounts, and it never asks for a bank login, a card number or any third-party password. Every figure is typed in by you.
- It guarantees nothing. Every forward-looking figure is an estimate built on the assumptions you chose, clearly labelled as one.
- It sells no financial product and earns nothing from where you put your money.
What it does with your numbers
Your figures are stored so the app can show you how they move over time, and they are yours to take or delete. There are no bank credentials to store because none are ever collected. You can export everything the app holds about you, or delete your account and its data outright, from inside the app — no email required. Muktify is a data fiduciary under India's DPDP Act, and consent to the policies is recorded rather than assumed.
Privacy
The full detail — what is collected, why, how long it is kept, who processes it and every right you hold under the DPDP Act — is in the Privacy Policy. The Terms of Service and the Disclaimer set out what the app may and may not be used for.
