How much is every CTC from 3 LPA to 50 LPA per month in hand?
By Vijay Singh Sinhmar · Fintech automation specialist, 8 years in finance · Published 2026-10-12
On a typical structure — basic at 40% of CTC, the employer’s provident fund inside the package, ₹200 a month of professional tax and the new regime — 10 LPA is about ₹73,133 a month in hand, 15 LPA about ₹1,02,845 and 20 LPA about ₹1,32,513 in FY 2026-27. Income tax starts only once CTC passes ₹13,56,383.

Basic is under half your pay, so PF is worked out on ₹6.00L a year, not on basic — the Code on Social Security counts allowances above half of pay as wages.

Your EPF isn't lost — ₹1.44L/yr (yours + employer's) builds your retirement corpus.
Assumptions
- New tax regime, FY 2026-27 (₹75,000 standard deduction, 87A rebate). Using old-regime deductions? Compare with the Tax Regime Calculator.
- EPF at 12% for you and your employer — of PF wages (basic, or half your total pay if basic is less, under the Code on Social Security's wages rule), or of PF wages capped at the ₹25,000-a-month statutory wage ceiling (in force from 17 September 2026) if you choose that above.
- Not modelled: gratuity accrual, ESI, NPS, variable pay, perks, surcharge above ₹50L.

Monthly in-hand at every CTC
Each row is the in-hand calculator’s default structure applied to one package in FY 2026-27: basic at 40% of CTC, the employer’s provident fund inside the package, ₹200 a month of professional tax, and the new regime with no deductions.
Tap a package for its own page: the payslip line by line, its tax position, and what a different basic share or provident fund on top of CTC would change.

Where the gap between CTC and in-hand goes
Three things sit between the CTC and the bank credit: the employer’s and your own provident fund (12% of basic each, on this structure), professional tax, and income tax. The two provident-fund contributions are not lost — they go into your EPF and pension accounts — they simply do not reach your bank each month.
Income tax is nil under the new regime while taxable income stays within ₹12,00,000 after the ₹75,000 standard deduction, which on this structure means a CTC up to ₹13,56,383.
Why your payslip may differ
Employers structure packages differently. A higher basic share means more provident fund and less in hand; provident fund paid on top of CTC means more in hand; variable pay, meal cards, NPS and the old regime all move the figure. Use the calculator with your own offer letter for your exact number.
